CASE STUDY
Christina Gerakiteys
CHALLENGE
Christina birthed her book in 2016 through a targeted series of interviews with entrepreneurs. She wanted to tell the stories of everyday entrepreneurs, not the unicorns.
She kept doubting the validity and value the book would bring to others. She also had no interest in being an Amazon bestseller. Christina had no idea where to start after the book was actually written.
This book was a seven-year overnight success story!
APPROACH
Celebrating Success One Failure at a Time was self-published. The book is a bonus when people engage Christina to give a keynote on Success and Failure and how defining these concepts, at a business, executive or personal level, leads to innovation, entrepreneurship, and ultimately, the achievement of goals.
Christina delivered the keynote and the book internationally, including at Silicon Valley and Madrid, Spain.
Christina is working on the next phase of the process, The Upward Spiral Strategy.
SOLUTION
We met with Christina and identified the tasks that she had under control and those that she required assistance with. By chance, Jaqui Lane ended up being the seventh entrepreneur in the book through the consultation process.
We provided feedback on the manuscript, brainstormed the layout and images, and created a compelling story for marketing and promotion. We also provided guidance on the book launch.
We identified the right publishing option was for Christina to self-publish and use the book as a valuable addition to her keynotes.
We are also championing the next book in the series!
EXPERIENCE
Jaqui provided the accountability partner I needed when I went through one of my, "I owe it to these entrepreneurs to get the book out there".
I knew how to write the book and already had an editor I had been working with, but after that? No idea!
Jaqui's guidance was invaluable. What I valued the most was how Jaqui listened intently and found the gaps.
Jaqui is a dream to work with. She knew what was needed. And the book was birthed.
