A Politician’s Epiphany
$29.95 inc GST
A Politician’s Epiphany humorously chronicles the twilight of a Right of Centre Party parliamentarian’s tenure as member of a fictional Federal seat called The Shire. As he is forced to navigate a series of contrived constituent meetings, orchestrated by faceless Party powerbrokers, he faces his inevitable ousting (he is deadwood) before the next election.
Written in the irreverent style of The Betoota Advocate and The Shovel, this satirical tale uses fictitious names and places, though readers might recognise the inspirations. The key characters include: Malcolm Rudder, Amber Light, Warren Galore, Milton Keynes and Alley Way.
This is Tony’s first book, and he’s not planning (at this stage) to write another one. Tony is a long-time analyst, veteran markets commentator and equity markets specialist with more than 40 years’ experience working in Australian financial markets.
He’s also been, and continues to be, a keen observer of the not-so-subtle art of political posturing, intrigue and mayhem.
With the Australian federal election coming up in the next 10 months, this book could well be your best coping mechanism against apathy, cynicism or incredulity.
